How to disable or enable MS Outlook 2007 filter (email not visible in View pane)

This is a common problem whereby user accidentally activated the filter features in Outlook 2007. I agree that it's not an easy task to activate or deactivate filter in outlook 2007 if you don't know where to find it. I hope this post will make your life easier hehe..

  As per screenshot below,

(I)  indicating there is 67 unread mail in inbox, therefor the View pane

should show at least 67 mail/messages.

 (III) only 10 mail/messages is visible (there is actually 117 total messages in reading pane)

The culprit is (II) "Filter Applied". Most of the user will miss this indicator and start panicking. Most of the standard fixes wont able to fix this , including :
                               -repair office apps
                               -office diagnostic
                               -refreshing and rebuilding outlook profile
                               -rename outlook key in Registry (i will cover this on my next post hehe..)
 
 The Fix:

go to View > Current View > click  Customize Current View.

 

 
 
 


 
 
 
 
 
 
   

it will open a dialog box called Customize View: Messages. Click on Filter...

 

 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 

it will open another dialog box called Filter. Click on Clear All to remove all the filters.
(as for advance users, this is the place where you can set filter according to you preference).

Click Ok > Ok to close the dialog boxes.







And now when you check back, all your mail/messages will be visible again. Check out the indicated "Filter Applies" has disappears.

Fairy Tail is a new shounen manga/anime series being written by Hiro Mashima after he finally ended his popular Jump manga/anime “RAVE” in 2005. It is set in a steampunkish world of adventure, magic, mages and guilds, where mages are the main adventurers in this series.


These mages are often members of Mage Guilds which provides access to information and quests but there is one particularly infamous Mage Guild that is a thorn in the side of the Mage Council because of the trouble that its members create – the Mage Guild called “Fairy Tail”
